Portfolio of Works

The anticipation leading up to the start of summer every year is what inspires these beach images that I paint. Summer is a truly magical time, especially for children. The figures explore the season with abandon, challenging the viewer to connect to their inner child. Painted in oil on canvas or linen, the paintings are a map illustrating how to explore the summer season and the beach with childlike wonder.

My goal in this series is to challenge the viewer to go beyond the nude and focus on the figure as a site of quiet contemplation. These figures, painted in oil on canvas or linen, represent a moment of stillness in an increasingly moving world.
